Things to check for:

  • "Skip to content" link is visually available
  • Access and control all actionable items
  • Tab order makes logical sense
  • Tabbed to (focus) items look visually different

Tab order

Tab order is incorrect. The tab order should be:

  1. First name
  2. Last name
  3. Address
  4. City
  5. Submit button

Focus

Consider the following list of links:

  1. Types of lotus flowers
  2. View a group of lotus flowers
    "View a group of lotus flowers" cannot be activated via the keyboard.
  3. Growing lotus flowers
  4. Super sneaky night flowers
    5. The fourth link can recieve focus but is not visible
  5. The colors of lotus flowers
  6. Lotus flowers around the world
    The "Lotus flowers around the world" does not have a focus indicator.
